This deck series is set in the 17th-century Baroque period of the Holy Roman Empire, creating a world view of mirror-interwoven twin royal courts. One court is modeled after the Prague Crystal Palace, featuring Rococo-style gilded decorations and colorful glass domes; the other is inspired by the Bratislava Fortress, presenting a dual image of sumptuous velvet curtains and bronze relief structures in the Gothic style. The two female chess players respectively control two power systems of light and chaos, projecting a dual metaphor of royal power struggles and theological games in the chessboard confrontation.
