"If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales."
- Albert Einstein

We all grew up on bedtime stories that began with "Once upon a time..." and promised a comforting "Happily ever after." We marvelled at heroic princes, enchanted princesses, and magical beings. But the original folklore collected by the Brothers Grimm and ancient storytellers was far darker, raw, and twisted than the sanitized versions we know today. Some even say these tales were rooted in real historical tragedy.

What if the stories didn't end the way you were told?
Welcome to Behind The Fairy Tales Playing Cards -a tribute to the childhood stories that shaped us, unveiled through a sinister, dualistic lens.

The Dual-Face Court Cards (Bright vs. Dark)
The defining feature of this deck lies in its two-way court card illustrations. Flip each court card upside down to reveal two sides of the same character: the innocent storybook legend on one end, and their macabre, unfiltered origin on the other.
