Cobra Playing Cards

The red Cartamundi Cobras are the best deck I own. It’s my constant go-to. I have more than 50 different decks ranging in price from $10 to $20 and these are the best. Perfect size, good thumb, and very durable. The black version is thinner than I care for, but the reds are real fine and very consistent from one deck to the next (I have three). All ready-to-go-out-of-the-box-decks have a relatively short life span—that’s the tradeoff; these don’t. They have a bit of an odor when you first open the box. I’m allergic to scents but this scent didn’t bother me (same with the more flexy Falcons—another fine deck though a tad delicate). Leave them out of the box overnight and they’ll gas off just fine. Red Cobras: First rate deck, five stars.

These cards are quickly becoming my favorite “fancy” deck… they handle really well and they’re beautifully designed!

As it is, I prefer the stock used for these cards over any other. The cartamundi B9 finish is amazing. I have a few of the red cobras and, for some reason, they have the even better a unique feature of this stock. The lines in the stock feel like linen is embedded into the finish. It is just a feel....like air cushion has a feel, but it is the most prominent in this deck. The look is great too. The gold sets the tone. This stock is never going to be printed again. The slimline doesn’t have the special feel. If you want the B9 finish, opportunity is almost gone. “Smoke ‘em if you got’em.”

Handle great, feel great, look great. Definately would recommend
