In addition to genuinely mixing the cards, shuffling techniques are the foundation of many deceptive card controls, and are also a great way to demonstrate skill with a deck. Two Really Cool Shuffling Facts
- Perfect Order Odds: Did you know that the odds of shuffling a deck into perfect order—spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs in sequence—are roughly 1 in 1068? That's about the same number of atoms in the galaxy!
- The Faro Shuffle: The Faro Shuffle can be a "perfect" shuffle. The deck will return to its original order when cut evenly at 26 cards and shuffled perfectly eight times.
