2nd one I bought because of quality.
Looks just as nice as in the picture. So soft to touch. Cards slide and handles so well. I know I will purchase another. I recommend you do the same.
I purchased this in green and I was so impressed with it I purchased a second one in red. This product is well made and extremely well priced. If you do not purchase one or all you will be sorry.
Glad to hear you love them, thanks Allen
Since I’m very new to magic (I have one trick, and it only works on marked decks if you catch my drift, and I only picked up that trick by accident.) But since, like I said, I’m very green at cardistry, i didn’t want to pay too much for a pad but did want something to practice some of the shuffles that you really need a pad to practice on, otherwise you just can’t do the shuffles (think Vegas) without the cards flying all over the place. Anyway, the size is perfect for me and my needs and I’m enjoying practicing on it because it’s making me look a lot better than I am. That said, it is quite small, and it wouldn’t be a good size for someone looking for actual magic tricks, I’d think you’d need a bit more room for it, but for a beginner like me, the size is perfectly acceptable for what I’m trying to learn.
I picked the green because it makes all of my cards pop. Not sure if that’s helpful, but if you’re picking this up as a beginner, this is perfect. If you’re further along on either you’re magic or cardistry, I think you’ll want a larger size. But again, this is coming from someone who is VERY green. If you’re an expect I’m sure you could find a million purposes for this size.
But for the price, the size, and the quality of the pad (which is gorgeous by the way, I should have mentioned that earlier!), it’s a good deal. I’m happy with it and as I get better I’ll probably pick up a larger sized suede pad, but I’m sticking with the green. It just looks cool :)
Hope this was helpful!
So many awesome reviews, thank you so much.
This is great for walk-around table work where you need a clean surface for performance that doesn't take up a lot of space but looks professional too. I have a folding pad for that purpose, but it is kind of floppy, and I think I prefer the more rigid ones like this. Time will tell which is better for my needs, but I like it so far.
It's hard to beat the price for what you get--it's decently well-made (I had a tiny tear in the leather on one corner, but only I can see it), a good padded surface, and a professional-looking piece of equipment. Too small for a full deck spread, but I knew that when I got it and I am not disappointed.
i love this little mat for something to carry around with me or just have at my desk, cant do full spreads on it though.
